School officials are bracing for funding cuts and shortfalls.

“Every school in the state is on line to go to the slaughterhouse,” a superintendent for a public school system lamented. “The next thing that will have to be cut is people. We’re going to have people who retire and aren’t replaced. We’re going to have layoffs. Staff will begin to lose their jobs. Half the districts in the state are losing kids.”

My answer to that is, so what? You are a government agency whose job it was to educate the children that are present. If there are less ‘customers’, then you need to make cuts in your spending.

The dirty little secret, thanks to fat educational boards and fatter teacher contracts, the budgets and spending have always been based on a growth of the children population and exponential growth of annual school millages. The pension and healthcare expenses for past teachers eats up more and more of the budget for the current crop of teachers …oh, and students.

Now that the citizens have started to recognize what they are getting for their tax dollar from the state education systems, they can no longer automatically be expected to vote to fleece themselves – ‘for the kids.’

This does not bode well for the liberal institution known as Education – a favorite safe haven for liberals avoiding hard work, competition and the demands of actual performance.

Liberalism is on display at literally every school district in the nation. Cost over-runs, debt, run down buildings, outdated tools and a continually degrading performance.

On the Clinton News Network (CNN) Nancy Pelosi stated that President Bush was a “total failure, losing all credibility with the American people on the economy, on the war, on energy. You name the subject, and we are trying to sweep up after his mess, over and over and over again.”

Pelosi needs to be in an insane asylum, and not in the Senate as Speaker of the House.

The economy is not anymore the fault of Bush than it is the fault of Congress.

Timing would show that the real downturn of the economy started right after the Democrats took control of Congress. But you don’t hear me trumpeting that – since I know the American economy has many issues facing it – and it is not a political party or a person per se.

But then again, I am a rational, analytical, honest person who is not trying to re-infect a bunch of mentally ill liberals with Bush Derangement Syndrome.

The ‘war’ and the ‘energy’ problem is all the fault of the Democrats – and she knows it.

The war would be over now if not for the treasonous behavior of the Democrat Party and their propaganda arm known as the MSPAM (main stream press and media). In the Senate, Democrat Harry Reid proclaimed to the world that “the war was lost.” Talk about aiding and abetting our enemies. Harry wanted the USA home, defeated and humiliated.

After all, he is a Democrat.

Besides, Pelosi should listen to her own presidential candidate. Barack Hussein just announced that ‘the surge has worked better than anyone thought’ – but he still would not have voted for it. Real American there – panning a policy that he just said was successful in defending this country.

So if Pelosi wants to see who the reason American troops are still at risk, she needs to find a mirror.

The energy problem is directly tied to the environmental policies trumpeted by the Democrat Party. Al Gore, the Global Warming Snake Oil Salesman himself stated $5 a gallon gasoline was the goal to force conservation. Barack the Magic Negro said that he wanted $5 a gallon gasoline prices too, “but just not so quickly.”

Truth be told, energy prices greatly affect the American economy. High prices for energy, means a slowed economy. Prices go up and people can’t afford the gas to go to the store in the first place.

Liberals have a mental block of economics. Democrats don’t. They know they are ushering in communism to their mentally challenged voters.

Democrats want Americans to ‘conserve, slow down, back up, don’t consume, don’t live so well, embrace declining standards of living, be happy with less.’

Public education, immigration, Social Security, high taxes, government housing, government loan programs, etc – whatever Democrats touch – fails.

There is one political party that owns misery lock, stock and barrel and it is the Democrat Party – and they are proud of it - as are their mentally ill voters. – Hank Dagny

Local 651 out of Flint, MI., cares about their union members.

They want the people - they threw out of work - to sign up if they want a brick of the plant they worked at - that is being leveled.

So as the UAW (U Ain’t Working) - with the help of the tax codes in Michigan - continues to guarantee Americans won’t find manufacturing jobs, but at least you can have a memento of where your job was.

I hope that brick is worth all the union dues you paid into the union coffers - which ended up in big salaries for union goons, the g-strings of dancers and hookers, and the Democrat National Committee bank accounts.

Meanwhile, in the Peoples Racist Republic of Detroit, the Teacher’s Union of Detroit has it’s members - who made so much they don’t need summer jobs - are picketing the School Board meeting. This, I guess is to let the Board members that they are not interested in helping the children of Detroit, the city or the state, or their fellow teachers - by making concessions.

The ‘rank and rank file’ is upset because teachers are getting laid off.

Well;
when your salaries are 3rd highest in the nation,
and your students finish close to last in the nation in test scores,
and because of that - your student population continues to shrink,
and because of your cost and the tax system - businesses refuse to operate in your district,
and because many of your graduates can’t even read - businesses refuse to hire from your district,

Just exactly why would Detroit need that many teachers?

Hint to teachers: Here is a chance to be ‘real liberals’ and help your fellow union brothers and sisters. Cut your pay in half and there doesn’t have to be a single lay off.

“Liberals stand for liberalism above all else. And when they do, it is people who get hurt. [Ed. And when liberals stray from the reservation – like Lieberman or Zel Miller, they kick them out. They don’t call them ‘mavericks’ in the drive-by media. They don’t say, ‘this is great! Look at the diversity in our party.’

That is a great illustration. Diversity – a great liberal principle. Well, there isn’t any when it comes down to actual impact on people. They don’t allow any diversity in the Democrat Party. They don’t allow it in speech. [Ed. Note: The Liberty Pundit captures liberals showing their intolerance of ‘free speech’. To be fair, the conservative protest did hit the liberals right in their religious altar - abortion. Nothing sets off a liberal more than trying to prevent babies from being murdered.]

When they enforce their principle, someone is going to get hurt. Someone is going to be guilty. Some organization or person is always going to be “not diverse” enough. [Ed. Note: Think about that for a second in the context of liberals running the entire government. People being ‘rounded up’ for failure to be ‘diverse enough.’]

“Diversity” means nothing! It is a principle based on how something looks – which we are not supposed to judge anyone on the way it looks. [Ed. Note: Yet another direct liberal contradiction – of which there are hundreds]. Because of the way something looks liberals want to change everything – and people get hurt.

Liberalism happens under the umbrella of ‘we care.’ And that is why it is so seductive - especially to ignorant people. And especially people who care that other people care about people.

We all care about people! Except a small minority – and most of those are in jail or heading there. We are the most generous nation in the world. Not only for our own people, but for people around the world.

So conservatives are said to be harsh and can’t possibly care. The liberals have a cool game going. Let me give you an example:

Liberals have as a principle ‘quality education for all’, with more and more money spent every year. May I ask you, what is the state of our current education system? What is the dropout rate – especially among minorities? How many people graduate and cannot read their diplomas? Quality education for all?

But you have to stay in a failing public school system. If you want vouchers – if you want to get your children into private schools - and someone offers that suggestion – look who stands in your way!

Mr. and Mrs. Clinton, Mr. and Mrs. Gore can send their kids to private school. You can’t do it. You have to keep your kids is a failing public school system so the principle of a ‘quality education for everyone’ can be followed.

They talk about a quality education for everyone because ‘liberals care.’ Look at the status of public education. Look at the effect on people – who are ‘subject’ to this principle. And when you confront liberals with this, they say, ‘you can’t examine the results. You have to examine our good intentions. We care.’”

The liberal citizen may care, but the Democrat politician does not care about people. They care about power.

The dumbing down of the US citizenry serves the purposes of feeding the teachers unions who in turn feed the DNC coffers; making more and more Americans dependent on the government; and makes liberal talking points appear to make sense. Only the ignorant think liberalism works.

Colin Powell’s group, Promise Alliance, issued a report about America’s High School graduation rates in our 50 largest cities. In 17 of those cities, not even half the children graduate.

In the largest metro areas – it is the worst. In Detroit, 25% of the children graduate. In Baltimore 34%. Cleveland 35%.

This is in spite of billions and billions spent. These inter-city school systems often receive up to $20,000 – PER STUDENT – in funding. Secretary Powell said, “When more than one million children a year do not graduate high school, it is not a problem, it is a catastrophe.”

Ya think?

Barback KKK God-Damn America Hussein Obama states in a speech that our education system fails minority children.

I got news for this elitist USA hating communist; it is minority parents failing their children.

And the presidential candidate with the fund raising friend – who bombed the Pentagon, but who teaches children in our colleges – doesn’t admit who runs the education system in this country.

Liberals, Democrats and the teacher’s unions run the education systems in ‘large metro areas’. I am not an expert on Baltimore or Cleveland politics, and I will not waste my time learning – because I already know the answer.

I am an expert in Detroit politics. Liberals have run Detroit for over 50 years. It is a cesspool. In every way you can measure a city, Detroit is at the bottom of the barrel.

Liberals run the city – top to bottom.
Liberals are 100% the city council.
Liberals are 100% of the school board.
Liberals dominate the State Education Board.
An indicted liberal Democrat is the mayor of the city.
A Canadian socialist liberal Democrat is the governor of the State.
Both US Senators are liberal Democrats.

Liberals run the education systems because it is an easy job – and obviously a job where you are not held accountable for the results you produce. The focus of the Democrats and liberals is to keep the unions strong and the children ignorant. Ignorant people vote Democrat. Pure and simple.

If you are the parent of a student who dropped out, you are the problem.
If you are a student that dropped out, you are the problem.
If you are a liberal, you are the problem.
If you vote Democrat, you are the problem.

To liberals, publishing the enemy military secret – even in a time of war (NY Times) is not unpatriotic.

To liberals, picketing injured veterans on their way to the hospital for therapy and treatment is not unpatriotic.

To liberals, blocking military recruitment centers is not unpatriotic (Code Pink).

To liberal presidential candidates, taking corporate profits legally earned or hanging out with bigots and domestic terrorists is not unpatriotic (Hillary and KKK God-Damn America Hussein Obama).

But, according to Andrew L. Yarrow, is visiting history professor at American University, retiring early “is profoundly selfish and unpatriotic.” This piece of elitist, communist dog manure was a Clinton political appointee (go figure), and received fellowships from the European Union, the French Government, the Kennedy and Truman Presidential Libraries. In other words, a total traitor to this nation.

“When I hear my fellow baby boomers gleefully talk about their plans to retire ASAP, head for the Tuscan hills or otherwise continue their lifelong quest for “self-actualization,” I have to bite my tongue.

It’s not that I’m all work and no play. But there’s just something — lots of things — wrong, in general, with retiring at 55, 62 or even 65. I would go so far as to call it profoundly selfish and unpatriotic.

For individuals, working longer can mean more income and savings and something to bequeath to one’s children. For the nation, if millions of us worked until 67 instead of 62, Americans’ wealth and consumption would increase appreciably, fueling stronger economic growth.

That added income would provide about $800 billion in additional tax revenue and reduce government benefit costs by at least $100 billion in 2045, according to Urban Institute calculations. This alone would cut the projected deficit in 2045 by 159 percent.
To encourage such behavior, Social Security benefits taken before age 66 or 70 could be more highly taxed [Ed. Note: This is money the government ALREADY TOOK as a tax, remember], and employee rates of Social Security taxation could be progressively reduced for each year worked after 66 or 70. Or the government could provide a similar sliding tax credit for Americans who continue working beyond age 70.”

This idiot has a job where he sits in his ivory tower and potificates or walks into a classroom to propagandize for communism. This low life doesn’t really ‘work’. So it is easy for him to say, just bust your hump on those cement plant floors or out in the bad weather, until you keel over.

To liberals, you are a cow to be milked for tax dollars until you die. FDR’s Ponzi scheme gets to keep your money and you get nothing. And thanks to the ‘Death Tax”, your children get half of what you ALREADY paid taxes on – if they can afford to do that! You see if your wealth is in property, your children have to repay half its value in taxes to actually get the property.

I guess this is Earth Week. Whatever. Like the Earth cares about us. We are just the latest species that are the ‘top dog’ - right now. The Earth is doing it’s thing and doesn’t even care we are on it.

All across our once great nation, the liberal education system is poisoning our children with the global warming lie. Outside of scaring our children with lies instead of teaching them things that will help them compete in a global economy, here is what else liberalism is getting the planet.

And in my email, one of my Michigan US Senators in Washington (not the one I will be running against in November), Democrat Debbie Stabbing-me-now, celebrates Earth Week by using my tax dollars to send me a letter. In it she tells me how she successfully blocked any attempt to explore, drill, or refine for oil in our Great Lakes region.

She is proud of the fact that she blocked thousands of jobs for her state –which desperately needs them – as Michigan has been a depression during some of the best economic times our nation has seen.

She blocked a domestic attempt to free us from the dictators around the world that hold us ransom for energy. And she is proud that she is part of the reason people are REALLY starving all over the world.

Liberals are mentally ill or if in office – power hungry. Their policies destroy lives, countries, economies – and actually get people killed. If you scratch a ‘green’ environmentalist, you will find the ‘red’ undercoat of communism.

If you vote Democrat – you are the problem. If you vote Republican – you are only half the problem. – Hank Dagny

The title explains it all. Of course our freedoms and capitalist system built us to the status of the lone super power in the world. Who is actively trying to throw us from that perch? Why it is radical Islam, communists and our own home-grown liberals.

Which list of items operate - more or less - under a free market system with cut-throat capitalistic competition and which are under government or liberal control - or both?

Capitalism breeds progress. The quest for profit creates the desire to serve others. People don’t build a better mousetrap because they love people and hate mice. They do it for their own self interest of profit- which in turn serves their fellow man well. Very well. This truth is lost on liberals.

When there is no profit incentive to do good work, all you get is failure or at best - mediocrity. Did you notice too that liberals flock to the jobs where performance is not really a requirement?

Too bad the liberals have conditioned the American public to expect government to solve all ills.

New York Democrat Governor Elliot Spitzer was the one who proposed driver’s licenses for illegal immigrants. Remember? That was the question Hillary fumbled that put the gapping hole in her free balloon ride to the White House.

Anyway, this unabashed liberal and Democrat in one of the loftiest offices in the nation – all of a sudden – is renouncing his own liberal policies. How can this be?

Its easy folks. When you are a liberal – you have no principles – so it is very easy to change your position to save your own neck.

First Spitzer had to run to Washington and denounce his own plan for giving illegal aliens legal identification to save Hillary’s presidential run. After all, he knows what happens when you cross the Czarina.

But what is he up to today? Total blasphemy of the liberal position on education spending and the bottomless pit liberals demand it be.

Gov. Spitzer called for a commission to consider caps on educational spending!

Now a commission demanded by a politician – for those of you in Ann Arbor, MI. – is when a politician has to make decisions that may anger his voting base, and so he wants the cover of saying “the Commission made me do it.”

Spitzer ran against this idea of mandatory spending caps, but now he says the state needs to stop the out of control increases in property taxes and education SPENDING! He needs this in spite of the fact that education money rose by 7% and a record flood of federal dollars too.

He said, “Caps are a blunt instrument that will force hard choices and discipline when nothing else works.” Liberalism never works Elliott. Never. Just ask Jenny and Kwami over in Michi-losing jobs- again.

The education lobby and teacher’s unions are not going to be too happy about this news. They are suppose to retire to the golf courses and canasta parlors after 20 years of working nine months of the year - with a pension that would make a congressman blush.

Hillary will never be asked about the new ‘War on Children’ by liberals in her new ‘home state’. I wonder why? – Hank Dagny

Item 1: They have a front-page article explaining how the nation’s colleges are flush with cash. Now this is during a recession and when the number of freshmen students has leveled off. Couple this with the reality that tuition climbs every year multiple times ahead of the rate of inflation.

Talking to liberal college professors at my meetings with liberals – according to them, their salaries are not increasing by any great shakes. So were does the money go?

Liberals constantly complain about and demand action on Big Oil, Big Pharmaceutical, Big Tobacco and Big Retail when they think the profits are obscene. Not a word is spoken about Big College.

As a father who had two kids in college at once, I am painfully aware of what a rip-off a college campus is to their customers. Run down dorm rooms with three or four kids packed in a room for two, books for class marked up 300%, fees and fines to students to do simple things like park a car – when they purposely put 500 kids in a building with 100 parking spots.

Couple this with 200-plus students in classes with a professor’s assistant actually running the class and you have to wonder where the money is going. It is not on ‘exceeding customer expectations’ I can assure you.

Like all liberal operations, the customer is not the focus, but instead the liberal operation. The customer is supposed to be thankful for the opportunity to feed the trough and not question anything. After all, they have what you need – that piece of paper that says you paid homage to the liberal pig.

Item 2: A note on the front-page that deaths by avalanches have increased markedly. I thought with global warming everything was melting away? How can this be?

Item 3: Finally, the paper has articles basically saying that South Carolina is John Edwards last hope. He needs a strong showing there or he will be out.

For the man who’s message to the masses was that the United States is a hopeless mess, was just too depressing – even for liberals. That is saying something as liberals find the dark cloud every single day. That is what makes them liberals.

A John Edwards speech can depress a 25-year old single man who just won a $50 million lottery prize and is sitting in a hot tub with the Swedish Bikini Team and Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders.

Edwards is so depressing that after one of his speeches, Suicide Prevention Centers agree with the callers.

Edwards supporters all joined bridge clubs. Now they keep asking when is it their turn to jump?

A liberla priest was sent to talk to a supporter, who after an Edwards speech had put a gun to his head. The priest said, “Ready, aim…”

Yeah, Edwards is that bad. To be unelectable in your own state for your former office, then to be losing the nomination to a 1st term senator and a former First Lady after being the former VP nominee is…well frankly, an embarrassment.

John, go home and take care of your wife, and start suing Big College. I’m praying for you on your home front sir. – Hank Dagny
