Another hotel room delivery of the Al-USA Jazeera Today - today - and the liberalism contained within. Plus some bits and pieces comments.

First the liberal rag:
Richard Hyde, the mayor of Waukegan, Ill., in all his liberal glory, wants to kick out the manufacturing landowners of waterfront property.

“He invisions a post-industrial future of condos, shops, and restaurants - a bustling community of 10,000 affluent people on the shore of Lake Michigan,” the paper gleefully reports.

“We’ve given them notice. They can stay here another five years, maybe ten or 15 years, but after that - they must go,” says the 80-year old mayor. Talk about a man with firm plan.

How about if the mayor lets the owners of the property decide when they want to leave?

What makes this typical liberal think he can dictate that the manufacturers will move out, developers will move in - then small businesses and 10,000 ‘rich’ people will flock there to pay high taxes to Waukegan? Believe me, that is his real vision - more tax dollars for Waukegan. And probably a statue of Hyde looking out over the pristine lake. Of course no self-respecting Waukegan pigeon or sea gull will ever soil it.

Liberals always think they can manage markets and other people’s money better than the people can. Meanwhile, this full of himself liberal makes no attempt to find backers to buy everyone out and put his vision - and own money - on the line. No, this liberal will use his ‘elected’ power to force his will on citizens.

I called the mayor’s office and left a message asking if he plans on using eminent domain to push the owners out. After all, the unconstitutional Kelo decision set the precedent that governments can take your property if they think they can squeeze more tax dollars out of new owners than they can legally out of you. Let’s see if they comment.

Another liberal who thinks he knows all the answers is Brad Pitt. This moron is planning on gathering donations of $17.5 million, adding $5 million of his own money, to build a housing project of 150 homes in New Orleans. His plan is to return families back into the path of future hurricanes, and will subsidize it all by capping the cost of the homes and the mortgages at $175,000 with a monthly payment no bigger than 30% on your monthly income.

Good luck with that, since I don’t think Brad has thought this thru. Since it is all subsidized, who decides who gets to buy? Did you have to be from the area originally? If so, is this discriminatory? What if you buy and want to ‘flip’ it? What if you buy and decide you want to move and can’t get $175,000 from anyone to take the mortgage off your hands? Will Brad make up the difference?

My guess is that this boondoggle will collapse and Brad will quietly walk away from it, leaving the mess to the city government. The same city government who’s total ineptitude and corruption keeps regular entrepreneurs from doing things the correct and capitalist way.

Speaking of liberals, Hugo Chavez, the champion of the Hollywood left basically told his citizens that he doesn’t care they want freedom and the ability to choose and change their leader. He still plans on driving Venezuela into pure socialism - then I’m sure to dicatorial communism. The USA Today gathered no quotes from the Democrat elites that make nice with this thug. That would have been good reading.

If you saw the ad on 6 and 7A - all I can say is WOW! That is the first ad that kept my attention for several minutes and I was not even in the market for…..whatever it was they were selling.

The ‘forum’ on page 11a discusses how our brains-full-of-mush from the liberal government education-indoctrination system has re-defined learning to “the emphasis now is on self-esteem and just being you.” Was someone doubting me on my remark on how anyone can be a teacher?

All disagreeing with me does is make you wrong.

Lastly, from my ‘Listening to Liberals’ segments, I was given the assignment to read Naomi Wolf’s book, “The End of America - Letter of Warning to a Young Patriot”.

My book report will be reported here soon. I am debating how to present it to that liberal group. Should I show the holes, the hypocrisy and the leftist bias Naomi has, or run the opposite way and expand her most outrageous claims to heights more obsurd than she takes them? Young America’s Foundation reported these classes offered for ‘higher learning’;

Occidental College’s The Phallus covers a broad study on the relation “between the phallus and the penis, the meaning of the phallus, phallologocentrism, the lesbian phallus, the Jewish phallus, the Latino phallus, and the relation of the phallus and fetishism.”

Amherst College in Massachusetts offers Taking Marx Seriously: “Should Marx be given another chance?” Students in this class are asked to question if Marxism still has “credibility,” while also inquiring if societies can gain new insights by “returning to [Marx’s] texts.” Coming to Marx’s rescue, this course also states that Lenin, Stalin, and Pol Pot misapplied the concepts of Marxism.

UC-Berkeley’s Sex Change City: Theorizing History in Genderqueer San Francisco explores “implications of U.S. imperialism and colonization for the construction of gender in 19th-century San Francisco’s multicultural, multiracial, and multiethnic” community. The course also covers “contemporary transgender, queer, genderqueer, and post-queer cultural production and politics” and “the regulation of gender-variant practices in public space by San Francisco’s Anglo-European elites.”

Swarthmore College’s Nonviolent Responses to Terrorism “deconstruct[s] terrorism” and “build[s] on promising nonviolent procedures to combat today’s terrorism.” The “non-violent” struggle Blacks pursued in the 1960s is outlined as a mode for tackling today’s terrorism. - end of examples

California Fires:
I guess a little boy started it, is the latest news. But let’s go back prior to this fire.
California has had these fires since - well, since trees were there. What would stop or reduce these fires and the devistation they cause?

Clearing out of the underbrush and some planned removal of trees to create man-made fire lines would do it. Lumber companies currently in business or that would be created, could actually pay the State of California (or the owner of the property) for the rights to the wood, and take responsibility should the job not be done properly. This would add to the tax base, create jobs and eliminate these fire disasters. Who would oppose such a win-win situation? Why, liberals, environmentalist whackos, and their communist supporters.

Mrs. Bill Clinton:
This passes as a Democrat front-runner for president. A person who would not even be considered except for her husband’s name. A person who cannot tell you what her true beliefs are (they are for a communist nation with her as czarina). What she has said she is for is pure totalitarianism, when speaking to the left-wing whackos in more private moments. She will win the nomination, when she should be laughed off the stage. A pathetic display of what the Democrat Party truly has become.

As proof, watch the John Edwards ad and keep in mind it’s reported Hillary GAINED in the Democrat polls AFTER her debacle in the last debate. A fiction writer could not make this up

Barack Hussein Obama:
The second in line for the DNC nomination for president has the same lame credentials as Mrs. Clinton - less than two full terms in the Senate. He has the added baggage of refusing to say the Pledge of Allegiance or put his hand over his heart during the reciting of it. He is not questioned as to his Muslim name or what his religious beliefs are (as Mitt Romney is constantly). He has openly stated he will not defend this country with offense - but only defense and diplomacy. Democrats will back this Carter-foreign policy failure re-tread.

Soviet-style indoctrination:
The University of Delaware stated actual liberal indoctrination classes in the dorms for their incoming freshmen. This has not seen the light of the MSPAM, as it is only slightly embarrassing. Our children have no concept of our Constitution or the economics that prove liberalism, socialism and communism are failed systems, but they will be told EVERY DAY in meetings they MUST attend that ‘it takes a villiage.’

What will save this nation is liberals acting like liberals without their camouflage. If this citizenship can lookk pure liberalism in the face and still vote for it - then you deserve to be slaves. - Hank Dagny

Liberals have run the city of Detroit for over 40 years. Let’s look at the results [Liberals hate facts and data. It actually hurts their little heads.].

The Detroit Public School System (DPSS) has a graduation rate of 25%. The male drop-outs have a 72% chance of being unemployed and a 60% chance of ending up in jail.

It is a failure of weak parenting, poor citizenship, lack of responsibility, lack of accountability, and a lack of honesty. Liberal traits one and all.

The issue is not money. The DPSS is large and expensive. It is the largest employer in the city. The Detroit City Government is the second - biggest employer. In other words, liberalism feeding on itself. That is the end result of Marxist policies.

Approximately 2 million people lived in Detroit in the 1950’s. The latest figures put the population at 800,000 and shrinking. The median income for citizens was #1 in the nation in 1950. Now it is 61st.

The ratio of residence per city employee is 50. Even in Los Angeles it is 108!

Democrats cannot fix any of this as their power base is the cause; unions, bureaucracies, big government regulations, and high taxes.

Conservatives cannot make any headway in that city. Liberalism has killed the work ethic, the sense of family, the duty of citizenship, the entrepreneurial spirit and the rugged individualism that built this nation.

You got to want to pick yourself up and get to work. Liberals whine and ask for more of the same that got them to the gutter they are in. Democrats are more than happy to oblige, as it keeps them in power. - Hank Dagny

PS: The State of Michigan has the same disease called liberalism, and the state congress just passed more of the same policies that have them in the sewer - higher taxes. Liberalism must be a mental illness.

This is the equivalent to sticking your hand in a black box and losing a finger. So to protect yourself, you shove your whole arm in there. The liberal response is “I don’t understand why my arm hurts and keep shrinking. I know I’m doing what feels right.”

Forget about the Constitutionally mandated separation of church and state . . . at least when it comes to mosque and state. When students returned in the fall, the University of Michigan-Dearbornistan is set to have Muslim foot baths in at least two locations.
And your tax funds are paying for it.

When I asked why the foot baths were being installed, Gallagher told me that this is “an accommodation to a significant portion of our student body and their friends and visitors in accordance with our mission.” He said that it is a growing trend with Boston University, Cal State-Fullerton, University of Wisconsin-Madison, and Washington University of St. Louis, all installing foot baths. “We wanted to be part of that trend in accommodating Muslim students.”

But when I asked Gallagher what portion of the U-M Dearborn is Muslim, he said that the most recent information the school has is from a 2004 survey of incoming freshman. The survey only identified 11% of students as Muslims, whereas 37% of incoming freshman were Roman Catholic. When I asked if there was any accommodation or money spent on Catholic students, he could not identify any.

Gallagher said the foot baths are the result of “years of ongoing negotiations with the “Muslim Student Association”. The Chicago Tribune exposed the radical Muslim Student Association (MSA) as an American branch of the Egyptian terrorist group, Muslim Brotherhood, which took part in the murder of Egyptian President Anwar El-Sadat as well as the shootings at the Temples at Luxor.

Gallagher insists that he’s confident that “none of our Muslim students is involved in terrorism.” But last year, I received numerous death, rape and torture threats against me, my parents, and grandparents from University of Michigan-Dearborn student Lola Elzein, a Lebanese Shi’ite Muslim. Ms. Elzein was visited by the FBI and admitted to making the threats. Mohammed Fouad Abdallah, another Lebanese Shi’ite Muslim, used University of Michigan-Dearborn computers to send me rape, torture, and death threats in the name of Hezbollah. His home was raided by four FBI agents, and he admitted to making the threats.

The MSA of U of M-Dearborn says that a “Reflection Room” was established for Muslim students, at MSA’s request. I wonder what would happen if Christian or Jewish students went there to pray or hang out.

Gallagher confirmed that University of Michigan-Dearborn Vice Chancellor Robert G. Behrens made the decision to install the foot baths. Behrens was the sole decision maker. He did not have to go before a committee of University Regents to get the approval or consult with anyone else.

Behrens refused to speak with me regarding this Unconstitutional waste of tax dollars on behalf of the “Religion of Peace,” but his secretary, Judy Modelski, had some interesting talking points to try to dissuade me from thinking this was a Muslim foot bath. “It can also be used for changing diapers of and washing babies,” she told me. “And there’s a third use, but I can’t remember what it is.”

But spokesman Gallagher confirmed that there is no other use for the foot baths, other than for Muslims to wash their feet before prayer. You’d think they’d get their stories straight at the University of Michigan-Dearborn.

In a letter to an angry alumnus, Vice Chancellor Behrens wrote that the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor construction, in 1841, of a chapel makes these Muslim foot baths okay. But that was a non-denominational chapel where anyone could go for any reason, even for non-religious purposes. As U-M/Dearborn spokesman Gallagher acknowledged, these foot baths are being built as an accommodation to Muslims and no other religion uses them.

When I asked Gallagher why a religious accommodation was being made for Muslims, he informed me that if another religion approaches U of M-D, it will consider the request. But universities are constitutionally barred from endorsing a religion or even two religions.

The foot baths, so far, will cost $27,000 to install. But count on it to cost more. Since only one set of foot baths is being installed at each of the two locations, Gallagher confirmed to me that each will be installed in only one bathroom. That means that, in order to comply with laws against gender discrimination, each sex will be entitled to a foot bath in its respective bathroom. Expect the cost to double to at least $54,000–$54,000 of tax money spent for a religious accommodation in violation of the separation between church and state.

That money is coming from the University of Michigan-Dearborn general fund. That means, if you are a taxpayer, you’re paying for them, as the general fund is made up of federal and state monies and paid tuition fees.

$2,000 of that has already been spent, paying architectural firm Niagara Murano, LLC, of swanky Birmingham, Michigan to “design” the foot baths. When I asked why an architectural firm was needed instead of a plumber, Gallagher told me that an architect was consulted to make the foot baths compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act.

Amazing. They care about compliance with all of the other laws, just not the most important one–the Constitutional prohibition of establishing a national religion. I asked Gallagher if he’s aware that these foot baths are likely to be the subject of a lawsuit by some brave Michigan taxpayer, who detests being forced to fund Islam and the demands of an American manifestation of the Muslim Brotherhood.

He said, “We’re prepared to defend that if it happens.” That means more of your tax dollars at work for the “Religion of Peace.”
The question is: Where and when will a Michigan taxpayer finally say enough is enough and file suit? Will the ACLU take the case? (Fat chance.)
And when will America wake up?

Neal Boortz reports there is an illegal alien with tuberculosis that is refusing treatment and wants to return to Mexico. The taxpayers are already paying for him to sit in a special medical isolation cell. After this there are three options.
1. He cooperates, gets hospital treatment, and is sent “home” for further treatment (no telling where home actually is at this point)
2. He continues to refuse treatment and they hospitalize him indefinitely with special security.
3. They let him go back to Mexico and deal with it there.
Options 1 and 2 take money from your wallet … taxpayer money.

Neal left off option 4 that will actually happen; He will get treatment, the government will let him stay and get on our welfare system.

Atlanta black principal James Jones asked the school to say a prayer for leniency for the sentencing of Michael Vick. No protest from the ACLU about prayer in school and no comment from the principal as whether he has prayed for the butchered dogs – or our soldiers protecting his idiot ass back in Georgia.

Hillary Clinton is broadcasting a plan to take taxpayer money and bail out people who over-mortgaged themselves with sub-prime loans and adjustable rate mortgages. This is pandering to the stupid again – which I know is the Democrat voting base. Republics and democracies fail precisely when the public starts voting other people’s money to themselves. Democrats and RINO’s are speeding the process of our nation’s demise along nicely.

The American Thinker reports that kids entering college cannot do 7th grade math. And I’ll bet today’s 7th grade math was the 1950’s 5th grade math.

The pile on of the South Carolina beauty queen AND THE QUESTION asked of her - is a condemnation of our government, Democrat and liberal-run schools – not of that young lady. Am I the only one who recognizes that fact?

Saw the headline today “Gonzales resignation won’t end investigations”. Duh? Hope the Republicans didn’t think it would. The country be damned – it is always re-election time at the Democrat National Committee. Running the country can wait as far as they are concerned. Eliminate the enemy and then when there is no opposition - do as you will. If only the Democrats looked at the War on Terror thru the same prism.

Republican Larry Craig in trouble for a sexual pass in a bathroom and the liberals are all going nuts? I think I counted six of eight straight posting on liberal blog were all about Craig.
I thought the liberals would love the fact that more and more Republicans are into lifestyle diversity. How does the gay voter feel about liberal pundits like Chris Matthews of Hardball calling Craig a ‘sexual deviant’? I think what upsets the Democrats is that more and more Republicans seem to be gay and they may lose the ‘swish’ vote. Not that there is anything wrong with that.

Liberal media? Ya think? CNBC and MSNBC refused to air pro-war ads. Collectively Now Big Communists (CNBC) and Mostly Socialists Now Big Communists (MSNBC) both refused to run pro-war ads? If Soros Moore show up tomorrow with an anti-war ad, a discount rate will be offered. Fuck them liberal pieces of human debris and treasonous scum.

One-fifth of Americans can’t find the United States on a world map and people are ripping on poor Junior Miss South Carolina for not knowing why? IF she would of told the truth and said, “Well teachers unions and liberal administrators have dumbed down our country so far that this type of ignorance still gets you a diploma. Liberalism is so bad that it destroys countries with multiple tentacles. If not for the greatness of our Constitution and capitalism, our nation would of succumb in the 1960’s when the hippies first came to power.

Besides the fact most of the teachers, administrators, the civil workers and unions are liberal, you have around half the parents that are liberals also. This is destroying the children and the country.

Mike, at Mike’s Cigars - who prides themselves on customer service - is lamenting that customer service by the schools is non-existent and was using this message as proof. But buried in the school’s counter-punch to the parents is a lot of truth.

People who read this site know I am no fan of the liberal school system. But the door swings both ways. Liberal parents – seeing school as only a free day care – are speeding up the dumbing down of our nation’s children.

The pitiful education our children receive is reduced further by uncaring parents. If the parents had to pay for their children’s education, the schools would not have to resort to these cheap insults. The parents would demand service and a good education for their children – or they would go elsewhere. In our communist government run school systems, the parents cannot.

A voucher system would fix the school system’s woes with the parents, but the school system would be held accountable to do their jobs. If you listen to the teacher’s unions – they don’t want that!

So even though I agree with the plight of the teachers having to educate in spite of uncaring parents, it is their liberal system that made it so. It is liberals complaining about the problems liberalism caused. Try to fix it and the liberals resist. Go figure.
