Recently the California Supreme Court ruled that the state constitution requires recognition of same-sex marriages, overruling a 2000 law approved by more than 60 percent of the state’s residents.

As a member of the Center for Moral Clarity, a national Christian grassroots organization, we are outraged by this wildly overreaching decision. Voters of all faith backgrounds, and even those of no religious persuasion, have long respected the biblical model of marriage, the union of one man and one woman.

My questions for you are simple: Do you support the definition of marriage as the union of one man and one woman, or would you support granting marriage rights to same-sex couples?

Will you be honest and open about this position? We are only some of many readers who will be anxiously awaiting your answer to these questions.

Dear Center for Moral Clarity,

I know the definition of marriage as described by God is the holy union between one man and one woman – period!

I am against a Constitutional Amendment or bill changing that definition in any way, shape or form.

However, since it is the states that grant marriage licenses, it is a state issue. My opinion on any federal legislation will depend on the Constitutionality of the legislation, as well as the actual definition spelled out.

I would not be opposed to any type of civil contracts between any two consenting adults. That is none of my business.

The Reverend Jeremiah Wright gave a speech at the National Press Club. Here is part of that exchange with that group:

“We are a nation forever damned by a history of slavery, deserving of terrorist attacks because we have done terrorism the world over.

We are a nation that continues to oppress minorities and neglect the health and welfare of the poor and the weak, while fighting unjust wars sparked by lies.”

How many in the Democrat Party (and liberals blogging or meeting to drink in Ann Arbor, MI.), actually disagree with him? Try very few.

Barack Hussein Obama finally “disowns’ the Reverend Wright’s comments, when it became a political necessity. Meanwhile, Barack’s wife Michelle, continues to mimic Wright’s opinion.

The point here is Barack Hussein Obama’s back-pedaling is something most liberals are cringing at. But, as good liberals, they know liberalism’s pure opinions and ideals must be hidden in order to win elections. Obama’s lying, like Clinton’s before him – will be ignored for the sake of liberalism.

Reverend Wright and the rest of the America hating left ignore the fact that our nation was founded by people overthrowing the tyranny of a monarchy, in order to insure the rights of citizens. These rights are bestowed by God and not granted by any human ruler.

And this nation Reverend Wright says can never be washed of the sin of slavery, fought its own Civil War to end slavery within our borders.

Since our founding as a nation, we as a nation have sacrificed the lives of our citizens so that others around the world could be free from Nazis, Communists and now Islamic-fascism.

No other nation in the history of the world has spent more, in money and in human life, in order for other people to have a chance to live in peace.

We are the greatest nation the world has ever seen. If you want the only hope for the world to be snuffed out, then vote Democrat.

Liberals are nothing but weak, mentally unstable people, and their leaders in the Democrat Party are power-hungry communists – and nothing more. Vote for them at everyone in the world’s peril. – Hank Dagny

“Liberals stand for liberalism above all else. And when they do, it is people who get hurt. [Ed. I told her the truth, echoed here by Rush.]

And when liberals stray from the reservation – like Lieberman or Zel Miller, they kick them out. They don’t call them ‘mavericks’ in the drive-by media. They don’t say, ‘this is great! Look at the diversity in our party.’

That is a great illustration. Diversity – a great liberal principle. Well, there isn’t any when it comes down to actual impact on people. They don’t allow any diversity in the Democrat Party. They don’t allow it in speech. [Ed. Note: The Liberty Pundit captures liberals showing their intolerance of ‘free speech’. To be fair, the conservative protest did hit the liberals right in their religious altar - abortion. Nothing sets off a liberal more than trying to prevent babies from being murdered.]

When they enforce their principle, someone is going to get hurt. Someone is going to be guilty. Some organization or person is always going to be “not diverse” enough. [Ed. Note: Think about that for a second in the context of liberals running the entire government. People being ‘rounded up’ for failure to be ‘diverse enough.’]

“Diversity” means nothing! It is a principle based on how something looks – which we are not supposed to judge anyone on the way it looks. [Ed. Note: Yet another direct liberal contradiction – of which there are hundreds]. Because of the way something looks liberals want to change everything – and people get hurt.

Liberalism happens under the umbrella of ‘we care.’ And that is why it is so seductive - especially to ignorant people. And especially people who care that other people care about people.

We all care about people! Except a small minority – and most of those are in jail or heading there. We are the most generous nation in the world. Not only for our own people, but for people around the world.

So conservatives are said to be harsh and can’t possibly care. The liberals have a cool game going. Let me give you an example:

Liberals have as a principle ‘quality education for all’, with more and more money spent every year. May I ask you, what is the state of our current education system? What is the dropout rate – especially among minorities? How many people graduate and cannot read their diplomas? Quality education for all?

But you have to stay in a failing public school system. If you want vouchers – if you want to get your children into private schools - and someone offers that suggestion – look who stands in your way!

Mr. and Mrs. Clinton, Mr. and Mrs. Gore can send their kids to private school. You can’t do it. You have to keep your kids is a failing public school system so the principle of a ‘quality education for everyone’ can be followed.

They talk about a quality education for everyone because ‘liberals care.’ Look at the status of public education. Look at the effect on people – who are ‘subject’ to this principle. And when you confront liberals with this, they say, ‘you can’t examine the results. You have to examine our good intentions. We care.’”

The liberal citizen may care, but the Democrat politician does not care about people. They care about power.

The dumbing down of the US citizenry serves the purposes of feeding the teachers unions who in turn feed the DNC coffers; making more and more Americans dependent on the government; and makes liberal talking points appear to make sense. Only the ignorant think liberalism works.

From the best seller, “What’s So Great About America”, by Dinesh D’Souza. This book is required reading to wash the Reverend Wright - and the rest of the liberal manure off of you.

“Islamic critics recognize that other people around the world are trying to selectively import aspects of America while rejecting other aspects they do not like. {They} all want some of what the West has to offer – especially technology and prosperity – but want to keep out other things.

But the Islamic thinkers argue that selective Westernization is an illusion. In their view modernization is Western. In this view, America is a subversive idea that, if admitted into a society, will produce tremendous and uncontrollable social upheaval. It will eliminate the religious basis for society, it will replace cherished values and sit will produce a society unrecognizable from the one it destroyed. [Ed. Note: Sounds like Islam is afraid of what liberals do to a country also.]

So what is the Islamic objection to America? In conversations with Muslims from around the world, several common themes emerge.

“To you we are a bunch of Ay-rabs, camel jockeys and sand niggers.”
“The only thing you care about is oil.”
“Americans have two things on their minds; money and sex.”
“Your women are whores.”
“In America mothers prefer to work than to take care of their children.”
“In our culture, the parents take care of the children, and later, the children take care of the parents. In America, the children abandon the parents.”
“America used to be a Christian country. Now atheism is the official religion of the West.”
“Your TV shows are disgusting. You are corrupting the minds of our young people.”
“You are spreading your way of life thru the universe.”
“American culture is like a syphilis destroying the Islamic community.”

Painful though it is to admit, they are not entirely wrong about America. [Ed. Note: Yep. It’s liberalism they despise – not real Americans.]

The most important and influential of the Islamic critics of the West is the philosopher Sayyid Qutb. He became a leader and theoretician of the Muslim brotherhood, a terrorist organization that is one of the oldest institutions of radical Islam.

What, for Qutb, was so evil about the West?

“Western civilization separated the realm of God from the realm of society. The West is a society based on freedom, whereas Islam is a society based on virtue. Western civilizations are atheistic and based on a rejection of divine authority. When democracy says that sovereignty and political authority are ultimately derived from the people, this means that people – not God – are the rulers. So democracy is a form of idol worship. Capitalism is a form of market worship.”

[Ed. Note: Qutb twists religion for his own power. Our freedoms guaranteed by our Constitution are based on the Christian word of God. Qutb means to rule over others using his definition of the word of his God. How is earning a good living supplying a need to your fellow man always considered “bad” by liberals and fascists?]

Qutb contends that since the West and Islam are based on radically different principles, there is no way that Islamic society can compromise or meet the West halfway. Ether the West will prevail or Islam will prevail. And once the critique is accepted by Muslims, the solution presents itself almost automatically. Kill the apostates. Kill the infidels.”

Another lesson of what our nation faces. Either prepare for the fight for your freedom or prepare to surrender into slavery. Pure and simple.

One of the emails I received concerning my posted question as to whether or not to keep blogging was from a Constitution Party memeber I will call SJ.

SJ had no opinion on blogging but he understood my situation as he once published a newsletter for a few years he had to give up doing. He mentioned the three most important priorities in life, according to Howard Phillips, the founder of the Constitution Party:

1. God
2. Family
3. Country

I responded in my never humble opinion that with all due respect, Mr. Phillips is wrong. The correct order is:

1. THIS Country (USA), because without this country you will not be able to worship, praise or celebrate God as you wish to.
2. God and Family, because they are inseperable. If you don’t take care of your family thru your labor and commitment, then you are not living God’s will and will not be able to tithe for God either.
3. Your Fellow Man, whom you may serve thru your labor, charity (also God’s will) and by being self reliant yourself as to not put undo burden on your fellow man.

What do you think of my list? I know one thing - I see no place for liberalism in any of it. - Hank Dagny

I should stop this. Liberal is rambling now as his mental illness has taken over. If Americans wanted to pay for all political campaigns, I’m sure they would be doing it already. Liberals wanted Campaign Finance Reform, which restricts free speech sixty days before an election. This legislation did nothing but help Hillary and the Democrats – as they already had the systems in place to skirt around the law. Hillary is proving she can skirt around all laws. She has gone back to getting money from communist China.

We cannot trust our tax dollars at work. Social Security stolen. Balance budget amendments ignored. Liberal, I would leave that argument alone. You can’t win it.

You don’t want separation of church and state. Quit lying Liberal. You are for banning everything Christian and Jewish, while promoting anything Muslim, Hindu or any other religion not fundamental to this nation – including and especially atheism.

Christianity was the foundation of our laws and Constitution, Liberal. That is why you need to tear it down. You can’t have communism and religion in your utopia. Christianity is not the ‘state’ religion, but if you as a liberal actually believed in freedom, you would not be trying to stamp out all references to Christianity.

Our liberal friend Dump educated me with a thoughtful response to this original post. This is kind of a long post, but well worth the time. I wish to thank Dump for taking the time to answer the questionnaire I found on the internet.

My dear readers - please tell me where this internet questionnaire (IQ) I found on the internet is wrong. Can a Muslim be a Good American? - HD

1. IQ: Theologically - no. A Muslim allegiance is to Allah, the moon God of Arabia.

Dump: We’ve been over this before, at least twice, on this very blog: see 28 June 2005 and 5 September 2007. The simple fact is that the Arabic word allah means “God.” Just like the French word dieu, the Spanish word dios, the German word Gott, etc, etc. Like it or not, Muslims worship the same God that Jews and Christians worship.

HD: Fantastic! Thank you, sir.

2. IQ: Religiously – no. No other religion is accepted by Allah except Islam. (Koran 2:256)]

Dump: There is no compulsion in religion. The right direction is henceforth distinct from error. And he who rejects false deities and believes in God has grasped a firm handhold which will never break. God is the Hearer, the Knower. Sorry, but it’s quite a stretch to read this verse and think it means “No other religion is accepted by Allah except Islam.” Here are some questions to ask yourself about this claim, if you think that’s what it does mean: What, exactly, does it mean if God does not “accept” other religions? Does it mean all non-Muslims are doomed to the fires of hell? Does it mean they’re infidels who need to die today? Does it mean they ought to convert? Does it mean God just ignores them?

HD: Let me add a personal note as it explains my belief. My Catholic grandmother came over on the boat thru New York legally with her husband. When he died in a car accident, the lone driver in the family was gone. The only church within walking distance was a Baptist Church. That is where the family went to church every Sunday. The older children knew it was not Catholic, but you did not argue with my grandmother. You went to church every Sunday. Hence, some of my family went Protestant and some stayed Catholic. My grandmother only understood she was in God’s house.

3. IQ: Scripturally – no. A Muslim’s allegiance is to the five pillars of Islam and the Koran.

Dump: The so-called five pillars of Islam (”faith, prayer, concern for the needy, self-purification, and the pilgrimage to Makkah for those who are able”) do not strike me as particularly anti-American. Am I missing something here? The biggest question of all: What the hell do “scriptural” questions have to do with one’s ability to be a “good American”?

HD: As long as the ‘faith and ‘self-purification’ does not include killing non-believers, I’ll buy it.

4. IQ: Geographically – no. A Muslim’s allegiance is to Mecca, to which he turns in prayer five times a day.

Dump: Meaning what? All billion or so of the world’s Muslims are secretly loyal only to Saudi Arabia? This is just silly.

HD: Geography means something. Allah is not in Mecca. Americans pray to God in the heavens, not back to their country of origin. I disagree that it is silly. If the underlying tone is that Muslims move the Middle East culture to the West, it is far from silly.

5. IQ: Socially – no. Islam forbids a Muslim to make friends with Christians or Jews.

Dump: This, readers, is nothing but a fucking lie, plain and simple. I challenge Hank Dagny, who cut-n-pasted this onto his website, to present any evidence he can come up with in support of this nasty, ugly lie.

HD: I would respectfully suggest this is where Dump ran out of steam. He had great links and great rebuttals, but here he resorts to swearing and reversing of the burden of proof. I have already admitted ignorance and wanted proof one way or the other. Unless there is some proof to the contrary – assuming not because Dump would have found it – this huge one goes to IQ.

6. IQ: Spiritually – no. A Muslim must submit to the mullah (spiritual leader) who teaches the annihilation of Israel and the destruction of the Great Satan, the United States.

Dump: The anonymous author, and those who credulously re-post his ignorant foolishness, are completely out of their depth now, and it shows. Anyone who doesn’t even know the difference between a mullah and an imam has no claim to be taken seriously on the subject of Islam. To be sure, we’re talking about Hank Dagny, who famously wrote that “these [Iranians] are Shi’ite MUSLIMS, who are allies of al-Qaeda and sympathetic to Bin Laden and the Taliban,” so what do you expect? Notice also the lunatic implication that all Muslim “spiritual leaders” march in lockstep with their calls for “the annihilation of Israel and the destruction of… the United States.”

HD: I just posted the questionnaire looking for answers. Dump does not supply one. Again, the situation is that many Muslims in western countries are openly calling for the destruction of Israel and the United States. The ‘peaceful’ Muslims are suspiciously silent. Dump ranted again. Forfeit.

7. IQ: Domestically – no. A Muslim is instructed to marry four women and beat and scourge his wife when she disobeys him (Koran 4:34).

Dump: “Men are the maintainers of [qawwaamuna ‘ala] women, with what God has made some of them to excel others and with what they spend out of their wealth. So the good women are obedient, guarding the unseen as God has guarded. And (as to) those on whose part you fear desertion, admonish them, and leave them alone in the beds and chastise them. So if they obey you, seek not a way against them. Surely God is ever Exalted, Great.”

HD: “Maintainers of ‘women’”? Even though I graduated from a liberal public school, I know ‘women” is plural for woman. “Admonish” and “chastise”? “So if they obey you, seek not a way against them.” Although as a certified male chauvinist I like it, I think the United States frowns on this behavior. Our women are treated like children in this country – all the perks and are responsible for almost nothing. The Muslim treatment of women will not fly in this country, and I am shocked a liberal would defend it. But with liberals - the end justifies the means. Diversify and break the nation into needy, whining and arguing ‘groups’ is the goal of Democrats. Dump, you are officially losing now.

8. IQ: Intellectually – no. Because a Muslim cannot accept the US Constitution since it is based on Judeo-Christian principles and Muslims believes the Bible is corrupt.

Dump: Even if we ignore the fallacy of petitio principii and accept the lie that the rest of this assertion rests upon (i.e. “the Constitution is based on Judeo-Christian principles”), the assertion still doesn’t make sense. It seems to strongly imply that belief in the Bible is a necessary prerequisite for “acceptance” of the Constitution. Once again, this is just silliness.
The question of “corruption” is something the anonymous author has misunderstood. Muslims believe that the Koran is the literal word of God — that is, God dictated the Koran to the prophet Muhammad, in Classical Arabic, and the text of the Koran is God’s own words, transcribed verbatim. On the other hand, the Bible does not, of course, purport to be the literal word of God, but was written by human beings, and thus its text could be subject to “corruption” as human hands alter the word of God. Most people know this.

HD: I doubt ‘most people know’ that. The belief is that both the Bible and the Koran are written by the hand of God. I believe that the original Constitution was written by the hand of God. For that perfect a document to be created, there is simply no other way. The Bible was where our founding fathers got their guiding principles. We are back to square one. Do Muslims who are in this country put the Constitution first? You didn’t answer it Dump, but I will call it a draw.

9. IQ: Philosophically – no. Islam, Muhammad and the Koran do not allow freedom of religion and expression. Democracy and Islam cannot co-exist. Every Muslim government is a either dictatorial or autocratic. * end of questionaire

Dump: No evidence or proof, just a series of angry assertions.

HD: Gee, I was going to say the same thing about you Dump. No evidence or proof. But I have some. LOOK at the Muslim nations. What kind of governments do they have? The lack of a democratic republics within Muslim nations kind of breaks the tie of #8, and loses #9 outright. Second point, Muslims did not assimilate into European culture, but are changing it to the Muslim culture. And they are out-breeding Europeans 8 to 1! They are following that pattern here, with the help and assistance of the liberals in this country. We already know Europe is a liberal-socialist cesspool. Diversity will be Europe’s executioner. Ours too, if liberals get their way.

Dump, you lost fair and square, but I praise the effort and you knocked out three of the nine questions out of the park. Too bad this is not baseball as .333 is a pretty good average.

Ok, the questionnaire was not perfect, but except for our original Constitution …and me, what is? If, and it is a big if, Muslims want to be Americans, changes must be made. Muslims in this country are showing very little desire to assimilate.

My opinion expressed her many times is – you cannot be a hyphenated American. You are an American or you are not. If you start out by saying “I am a XXXXXX-American”, you are no American at all.

Our country was built on our Constitution, and our Constitution proclaims individual rights. Group rights are not granted there, but individual people’s rights are.

Without our Constitution, we have no nation. So why are we allowing mosques to be built and people from Mexico into our nation - when their all their allegiance is either to a religion or to another country? If this is allowed, we will lose our nation. – Hank Dagny

Both Muslims and Liberals hate the principles the United States was founded on; Judeo-Christian fundamentals and capitialism. So how can they be Americans?

I am getting heat – even from my own webmaster, FourPutt - for the “Can Muslims Be Good Americans? The Truth? No, They Cannot” post. That’s fine, but that is why he is the webmaster and I am the blogger – I am always right.

I stand behind this post, and let me tell you why;

There is not a Muslim out there that will stand up and say that parts of the [Quran-Koran] are wrong - or that they should not be taken literally. Less than 25% of Muslims - in this country no less! - will say they are against terrorist acts. You might hit single digit percents in an honest answer poll.

If and when Catholics, JW’s, Protestant, Jews, Mormons decide to blow Americans up in the name of their religion, outwardly disobey US laws, openly hate all that are not their religion and openly say they are Muslim first before being an American, then I will condemn them also.

Christians and Jews have their bad history – as does this country in many respects – but what and where do you stand today is what we are talking about.

The Muslim religion stands for hate for all that are not Muslim and the non-hating Muslims are not exactly rioting in the streets to save their religion. Instead they make weak symbolic gestures and ignore the issue. The ‘moderate’ Muslim knows where he really stands. He just will not show it – yet. Just as moderates in this country are actually liberals.

Muslims have what this country used to have - an understanding that they must stand for something or they will fall for anything. Our melting pot worked because the country demanded the immigrant mixture became AMERICAN, and the immigrant wanted to be an American. Not so anymore for our nation.

The radical Muslim religion works, because it never flip-flops. It is what it is. Right, wrong or indifferent – people will follow that. Islam doesn’t change for anything or anybody.

What we have now in the United States, thanks to political correctness, leftist anti-patriotism and liberals breaking people into groups, is a cesspool mixture. So called Americans are stressing their race, sex, religion and political party over their country.

Let’s get our bearings here people; IF you not an American first, you cannot be the religion of your choice. You will be the religion of your master - or will meet your God in short order. If liberals have their way and communism wins out – you will not have the right to practice any religion – except Hillary Praise.

If your religion is anti-American, we cannot tolerate it. If your politics are anti-capitalist, we cannot tolerate it. If we do or try and ‘diversify’ on these issues, the United States will not survive.

Fourputt, I am glad you have some Muslim friends. I have a couple too. And they ‘don’t like the violence and the hate.’ But honestly, if you expect to sleep in a foxhole with them when the War on Terror hits our shores, and expect to wake up with your throat intact, I got a Democrat “Middle East Treaty” to sell you.

When push comes to shove, your Muslim buddies may not swing the sword, but they will point you out or hold you down when there is enough of them around to ‘get’er done’.

Islam must ‘Americanize’ or one of us is going to have to go.

A copy of the Koran was “desecrated” when an American soldier kicked it. Big deal. I’ll start caring about the Koran when;

• ‘peace loving Muslims’ start caring about the Holy Bible, the mere possession of which is a crime.
• ‘peace loving Muslims’ turn in Osama bin Laden and his followers or kill Osama bin Laden and his followers.
• ‘peace loving Muslims’ start killing the Fascist Muslims for ruining their religion for political gain
• ‘peace loving Muslims’ say they are sorry for being silent when in the name of their religion, Nick Berg’s head was hacked off while Berg screamed through his gurgling slashed throat.
• ‘peace loving Muslims’ condemn the mindless zealots who blow themselves up and express outrage at the deaths of innocent children within range of their suicide bombs.

Here is what I don’t care about;
• Our military roughing up terrorist to obtain information.
• Our military humiliating terrorists.
• Our military blowing up mosques and any other building that may hold weapons of any kind or terrorists of any kind.
• Our military shooting first and asking questions later in a war zone.
• Iran or Iraq civilians. Kill or help kill the terrorists or die with them.

Negotiations and treaties have never brought peace. Peace follows victory over the enemy. If we win, we get peace and freedom to practice your religion in peace. If we lose, we get peace and will have to practice the terrorist’s religion or die.

The ironic thing is that the liberals trying to sabotage this war will be the first killed if we lose it. How is that for irony. – Hank Dagny

James Madison, the fourth president, known as “The Father of Our Constitution” made the following statement: “We have staked the whole of all our political institutions upon the capacity of mankind for self-government, upon the capacity of each and all of us to govern ourselves, to control ourselves, to sustain ourselves according to the Ten Commandments of God.”

Patrick Henry, that patriot and Founding Father of our country said: “It cannot be emphasized too strongly or too often that this great nation was founded not by religionists but by Christians, not on religions but on the Gospel of Jesus Christ”.

We are a Christian nation – whether you personally believe in God or you don’t. Our entire Constitution and original legal system is based on that foundation.

When you begin to take a pick axe to our foundation in the name of ‘diversity’, a nation loses its identity. Are you listening Dearboristan and Ann Arbor, MI?

Putting foot baths in public buildings for Muslims may not seem like that big a deal on the surface.

Allowing gays to enter into marriage – instead of a legal contract – may seem like no harm is committed and it is a fair thing to do.

Having to hit a number on a phone in order to speak in English to the department of the government or business you need may seem like a slight inconvenience.

But cumulatively, which is why liberals get Americans to agree to restricted freedoms slowly, we are losing our identity as a nation.

Ask yourself if Saudi Arabia, Iran, Syria or Mexico would allow open borders for millions to take advantage of their people or would allow any religion other than their own peaceably?

Couple this with the world birth rates. In 1970, the developed world had 30% of the world population. The Muslim world had 15%. In the year 2000, both had 20% of the world population. With western women in the workplace and abortion on demand, do you want to take a guess at the numbers in 2030?

Appeasement as a strategy is a loser. Diversity as a strategy is a loser. Letting non-citizens live among us as an economic strategy is a loser. My fellow Americans, you have been warned. – Hank Dagny
