CEO of AT&T Harold Gineen once said, “The number one cost of business is ego.” Ego stops you from admitting mistakes. Ego prevents you from spreading the credit for successes or accepting responsibility for failures.
And ego prevents you from hiring people more talented than you are. That is what we have with our two major political parties - and it will surely hurt this nation.
Barack ‘KKK Not Proud of and God Damn America - Disown Church, Grandma, half brothers, Crook Resko, fundraiser and Terrorist Ayres, Flip-flop on every issue, fill tires for energy independence, Hussein Obama’ picks a man for vice-president who has more experience in the Senate than Obama. But Joe Biden has never held a real job or ran anything in his life either.
Barack had the perfect pick to solidify his party and his candidacy by picking Hillary Clinton as vice-president. One thing and one thing alone kept him from making the obvious choice. Ego. Barack did not want the Clintons hogging any of the spotlight - which you know they BOTH would have.
So despite what would be best for the Democrats and probably the country (as the Democrats see it), we have two men who are the most inexperienced clowns ever to be on a ticket for the highest office in the world.
Enter John McCain, who has some experience running things in the military at least. By his own admission, he needs help managing the economy.
He won the nomination over Governor Mitt Romney - a highly successful governor and in the most liberal state in the nation - Taxachussetts.
But instead of going with this obvious choice, McCain’s ego makes him pick an unknown, less experienced governor, who is still breastfeeding her infant son!
Romney is much taller and would dwarf McCain on any stage. Romney is younger and much better looking than McCain - even in McCain’s prime. Romney is the better speaker. And Romney has more real world experience than McCain.
Ego makes McCain pick a woman, Sarah Palin, who will tower over him, but she is in heels. And of course she is better looking than he is - but she is supposed to be. She has some experience running things, but now enough to completely overshadow McCain.
You see, with both Obama and McCain, ego prevents them from doing what is best for the country. It has always been - all about them.
The enemies of the United States through out the world are now salivating over either pick we select as president. We will either have an administration with two inexperienced and admitted wimps, cowards and appeasers - or an old man as commander and chief, with and inexperienced political wife still nursing a baby, one heartbeat from the top spot.
A sports better would not like the starting pitchers or the relievers of either team. Nice job my fellow citizens. Nice job. Be sure to pat yourselves on the back when the country goes under, you morons. - Hank Dagny

I think you are a little off target here Hank. Ego didn’t prevent McCain from picking Romney, the MSM/DNC Cabal did.
McCain knew the cabal would have waged class warfare against the McCain/Romney ticket on behalf of their friend Barack Obama even though their wealth has nothing to do with their ability to lead. A two rich white guys ticket would have been like handing them the keys to the Oval Office.
I do believe ego kept Obama from selecting Hillary. There was just too much bad blood and they also knew Bill would always be a wildcard liable to blow up in their face on a monthly basis.
What do you have against nursing a baby anyways? I don’t think that makes her a push over… You think she and Amadihnerjacket were going to wrestle or something? She’s got the US armed forces backing her up, so I don’t think there’s anything to worry about there and she’ll be up to speed long before she needs to make any decisions on her own anyways.
Or do you just have no faith in a woman’s ability to make a good decision? Because really that’s all we need from our President, good judgement. We don’t need expertise, they’ve got policiy wonks up the ass to call on. We don’t need experience trotting around to phot ops all over the globe. We just need somebody who can look at the facts and make a good call, even when it’s not the popular or easy choice. I think her tenure in Alaska has shown her to be this kind of person.
Chin up my friend, it’s going to be just fine as long as we don’t get Barack Osama as President.
PS> For some reason your website takes FOREVER to load. I almost gave up posting this comment.
I do not think it was ego that had McCain choose Sarah as his running mate, I think it was pure brilliance. After listening to her speech last night I am sorry she is not running for President. She is much more qualified than obama ever could be and just what this country needs, a leader who has morals, ethics, and brains. McCain made a very shrewd move in choosing her and I believe will win this election……..providing those who count the votes are ethical.
I agree Deb.
Hank, whatever you did it worked! The site loads fine now.
Thanks for your imput folks. But to disagree with Hank puts you at extreme risk of being wrong - as you know.
McCain’s ego was on full display at the convention. He basically told the conservatives he is still a ‘maverick’, he will still ‘reach across the isle’, he will still give amnesty to illegal immigrants, and he will do his version of socialism.
The conservatives got the middle finger in the face from McCain, but because they all have this new found crush on Sarah, they will ignore it.
Politics as usual, and voters lemming up, as usual.
I do so hate to be wrong………lol. I agree there is an ego problem with the usual bunch of senators and congresspeople. I don’t trust a single one any further than I can throw them. I do however, think Sarah Palin is a wonderful choice and hopefully will bring about the task of putting the government back to working for us. I still think it was a brilliant move on McCain’s part to choose her. I look for her to be our president in the near future.
She is the best of the four. Of that, there is no doubt.
Off topic, but I don’t see Fourputt around anymore. What happened to him?
I’m not sure how selecting Governor Palin was “conservatives g(etting) the middle finger in the face from McCain.” Governor Romney’s conservative credentials are, at best, mixed: to view him as a conservative, you must assume that he really has changed from the liberal Republican who ran against Ted Kennedy or the liberal Republican who was governor of Massachusetts. Granted, in Massachusetts, you’ve got to be liberal to get elected to anything, but his all-out defense of abortion in his campaigns hardly endeared him to conservatives.
That said, he was my initial pick for president, but I wasn’t really happy with any of our options.
If conservatives have a “new found crush” on Governor Palin, it is because she has not only consistently supported conservative positions, but has done her best to actually live by them. Ninety percent of unborn children diagnosed with Down’s Syndrome are aborted; Mrs Palin knew that her youngest son would be born with Down’s, and both loved her child and stood by her convictions. She wasn’t a conservative only when the going was easy; she was a conservative when the going got tough.
Mr. 4Putt is around. However not as much as he needs to be to support this website. Job, young children and lovely wife to make happy.
Hank and LQ is not his top priority right now.
But he is still around WC.
