More Proof Liberalism is a Mental Illness

Hat tip to James Lewis at the American Thinker. He had a list of things his liberals friends think and say. Very telling. His list is numbered. My comments follow:

1. Christians. Believing Christians are scary folks, sort of proto-fascists, who would kill or convert us all to their strange and scary beliefs if they had the chance. Jews. Peaceful Orthodox Jews are just as bad as head-chopping Islamic fascists. Because they’re all fundamentalists!

That’s interesting because I am searching for the beheadings, death by stoning and executions in the name of Judeo-Christian religion in the last century, as a part of daily life.

2. Capitalism. Corporations are evil. Capitalism murders just as many people as Stalin and Pol Pot did. Every political system kills millions of people.

When you ask a liberal to prove this claim, they just give you a blank stare and change the subject. Being a liberal means never having to prove the beliefs you feel.

3. America. Americans are contemptible. Europeans are wonderful.

In other words socialism is wonderful. A Four-day work week, six weeks of vacation, free health care and college is what is wonderful. The fact they cannot defend themselves or are slowly going bankrupt and collapsing into a Muslim continent is irrelevant to liberals

4. Genocide. The US murdered just as many Native Americans as the Nazis killed Jews. Oh, and the Spanish Inquisition killed 9 million women. Stalin was not so bad. Yes, he killed millions in the Gulag, but so did the United States. As for Castro, he is a great and wonderful hero. So is Hugo Chavez. However, Augusto Pinochet was a bad, bad guy.

Bizarre, and historically, no respectable historian agrees. But it’s in the minds of liberals and are still allowed to vote.

5. News vs. propaganda. Any news source other than the mainstream media is right-wing propaganda. Indeed, anything suggesting that liberals are less than 100 percent right is right-wing propaganda.

They can look at the liberal monopoly that is the MSPAM and actually see it slanted the other way. That is why I say liberalism is a mental illness. They are delusional.

6. War. War would go away if just Republicans stopped stirring it up.

Yes, all our enemies would love us if Democrats ran everything. Liberals ignoring that WWII, the Korean War, Viet Nam and even the War on Terror started when Democrats were in the White House. Clinton just didn’t fight it as to not to disturb his Monica-time.

7. Liberals similtaneously say “we are too dependent on foreign oil but you can’t drill at home”, “the war in Iraq was for cheap oil, you can’t build refineries here at home, gas taxes are not high enough to force people to conserve” - and then say “Bush is hurting people because gas prices are too high.”

Yes it takes a liberal mind to hold all these contradictions in and for the head not to explode. I’ve asked liberals if what they really want low gas prices, and they can’t answer. They know the answer - high gas prices on ‘everybody else’ but them.

Liberals would be fall-down funny to laugh at if they were not so dangerous as a voting block of useful idiots for the enemies of the United States. – Hank Dagny

A special treat for you today! A look inside my “liberal” brain:

1. Christians: David Kuo, better. Ted Haggard, worse.

2. Capitalism: Costco, better. WalMart, worse.

3. America: Apollo moon project, better. Paris Hilton, worse.

4. Genocide: Dead Islamic terrorists, better. Dead, injured and displaced innocent civilians, worse.

5. News vs. propaganda: News (to be interpreted by the viewer), better. Propaganda (subliminally pushed by Madison Avenue), worse.

6. War: Victory then peace, better. Quagmires, worse.

7. Oil: Foreign dependance, worse. Energy independence, better.

I hope that clarifies things a bit.

Costco is more expensive than Wal-Mart, according to my economist expert on the price of common goods - my wife.
Genocide of innocent civilians worse than displaced innocent civilians.
Propaganda from the MSPAM worse than Madison Avenue. One makes you buy things you don’t need. The other promotes government taking more from you.
Your “liberal’ brain failed to mention actual solutions to #6 or #7. Pity. Would of loved to hear the musings of what sounds like a not too mentally retarded liberal brain.

Wal-Mart is cheaper according to your wife - better (though she told me she prefers Costco)

Relying on “race to the bottom” supply chains which usually wind up in slave labor communist nations where only the insider benefits:

plus the reek of poverty, illegal immigrants, disgruntled employees and toddler puke inside most WalMarts as compared to the cleaner and more upscale Costco - worse.

“Propaganda from the MSPAM worse than Madison Avenue. One makes you buy things you don’t need. The other promotes government taking more from you.”

WTF? – I thought the MSM was just being good capitalists (sensationalism, sex, and power sells).

6. War:
Military experts (Shinseki, Sun Tzu, Genghis Kahn..) who believed in war only when victory was a sure bet - better

Politicians/ideologues/insiders (Wolfowitz, Cheney, Bush) who take a middle of the road blind faith approach which creates more chaos than order - worse
——————-
7. Oil:
A powerful Kennedy or Reagan style visionary/communicator inspired confidence in a national plan for the now feasible and profitable wind, solar, biofuel…, with domestic oil and oil shale, clean coal, safe nuclear fallbacks in the meantime – better.

Staying the course with US economic health being subject to the whims of the latest world situation just because powerful oil companies are reluctant to look beyond today’s profits - worse.
