"The point to remember is that what the government gives it must first take away." - John Strider Coleman

Odds and ends XXIV

1. I’m not voting for John McCain. But I do wish to point out the pathetic attempt liberals are making to equate some idiot preacher endorsing McCain to be on par with Barack KKK God-damn America Disown Grandma Hussein Obama having an America hating bigot as a pastor for 20 years – that married him and baptized his children. It is several liberal media blogs and pundits that say an endorsement equals a 20-plus year relationship – not one or two. Pathetic.

This is called a valid comparison by liberals. What sick individuals liberals are. That is why I call liberalism a mental illness.

2. Democrats passed a pork-laden farm bill thru Congress, but sent an incomplete 634-page bill to the White House – which got vetoed anyway. The Republicans swore to over-ride the veto once the Nancy Pelosi led House has a redo to try and get it right. She – in typical woman fashion – puts the blame on the White House for not finding her House error first.

You see my fellow Americans; the Democrats and lame duck Republicans in Congress are literally taking the money from farm lobbyists and running – knowing many will be voted out soon. Pathetic.

Our friend over at The Stiletto report: “If you think voters are ticked off now, wait till they find out they will likely be on the hook for an additional $16 billion in subsidies should prices drop in 2009 from their historic highs this year, reports The Washington Post:”

You Congress-critters are screwing the taxpayers’ right up to the end. But it is the voter’s fault because they send these same two party – single minded career politicians back to the trough. You get the government you deserve. Pure and simple. – Hank Dagny

Also from the Stiletto:

3. Judith Leekin, 63, pleaded guilty to using fake names to adopt 11 disabled children in NYC between 1988 and 1996 to collect $1.68 million in subsidies, reports The Associated Press. After moving to Port St. Lucie, FL, in 1998, she allegedly kept the children handcuffed to their beds with plastic ties, beat them and deprived them of food and medicine. Leekin, who could get up to eight years in prison on federal mail and wire fraud charges for sending NYC officials falsified school report cards to keep the payments coming, will be returned to FL after sentencing in mid-July to face child abuse charges. The adoptees, many of whom have both physical and mental handicaps, now range in age from 16 to 28. Nine have been placed in foster or group homes, and a 10th is living independently FL. The whereabouts of an 11th child are unknown, and police suspect that Leekin may have killed him.

The same government that cannot keep track of 11 disabled, helpless and innocent children is the same government you want to trust with your own health care?

Liberal…please! – Hank Dagny
