Debate with Kay the Liberal – Part IX

Continuing the series of an honest debate between conservatism and liberalism.

Kay:[Progressive liberals have pressed for most of the accepted social advances we enjoy in America today including Social Security.]

Once again this is a subject that has been dealt with many times on this site. We have a Category reserved for it. Or type ‘ponzi scheme’ in the search engine and go down to the article called;

‘Let’s be Honest About Social Security’

Something liberals cannot do. Social Security was another tax added by FDR and sold as ‘depression free’ retirement funds to a scared citizenship. The real plan was for most of the citizens to die off before they could collect – leaving the money for the government.

Well the – according to the liberals – ‘rotten’ private health service and drug industry has us living longer than socialist FDR could ever imagine. But the joke is not on him - it is on us.

Right now 2.5 people are paying for the care of one in this country. The prediction is that it will be 1:1 within a decade or two (maybe someone with more time can find the precise year in this country when ‘you will be supporting me’ - or ‘me, you’.

Liberals were at the forefront of stopping any repairs to the SS system while a Republican is in office. Meanwhile, the clock ticks on. The liberal solution of higher taxes and less benefits will only speed up the 1:1 timetable.

Social Security is yet another colossal liberal failure that liberals claim as a success. How are they able to mentally delude themselves so completely? Worse yet, how are they able to drag so many citizens along with them? – Hank Dagny
